Meka Oku Afro House Workshop - Europe Jollof Tour

The class is suitable for all levels, also beginners who wish to learn basic afro house moves or more advanced dancers who want to steal some steps and tricks from Meka :)

At the end of the workshop, we will record the final choreography in blue outfits.

Please make sure to bring 2 outfits: One for training, one (blue) for video recording.

Meka has fallen in love with Afrohouse style just before the pandemic, until then he was more focused on Afro-fusion. Now he is famous for his signature footwork and advanced in various Afro styles.

More about Meka:

Meka Oku Is a Nigerian-born dancer from a musically inclined household. He became highly influenced by Michael Jackson’s unique and distinct way of movement which sparked his interest towards dance at an early age.

While keeping a strong core in his inherent style of dance commonly known as “Afro Dance”, Meka was able to learn AfroHouse, Hip-Hop and bits of Dancehall on his own which makes him a self-taught dancer.

Meka found love for choreography through his exceptional Afro Dance Styles, AfroHouse and Dancehall inspired style of movement and this has allowed him to choreograph for A-list Artists Including Psquare and Selebobo. Meka, always a student of the arts continues to share his art and cultural experiences with a smile for all who embrace it for the love of dance.

What to bring with you:

Bottle of water, towel, comfortable clothes and shoes, second outfit in blue color for the final video recording

Dress code:

Sporty comfortable outfit + one additional outfit in blue colors for recording
