I Love Chicas Academy (ILCH) has created this privacy statement to explain how ILCH collects and uses your personal data and it applies to visitors of our website and anyone who takes lessons at ILCH.

Processing personal data

 

ILCH processes your personal data, because you use our services and/or because you provide it to us yourself. Below is an overview of the personal data we process:

 

  • First- and last name;

  • Date of birth;

  • Address data;

  • Phone number;

  • Email address;

  • Bank account number;

  • Photo and/or video footage.

 

Special personal data

 

Our website and/or service does not intend to collect data on website visitors who are under the age of 16, unless they have parental or guardian consent. However, ILCH cannot verify whether a visitor is older than 16. We therefore recommend that parents be involved in their children's online activities in order to avoid collecting data about children without parental consent. If you believe that ILCH has collected personal information about a minor without such consent, please contact us at hello@ilovechicas-academy.com and we will delete this information.

 

Legal basis and purpose(s) of personal data processing

 

ILCH processes your personal data for:

 

  • Administrative purposes, such as debiting membership fees.

  • For communicating matters related to activities of ILCH such as class schedules, absences, vacations, special events and dance training.

  • To send you newsletters.

  • To comply with the law. ILCH may have to process your personal data to comply with the law or a judicial order.

 

ILCH may ask for your consent to process your personal data in specific cases. When ILCH does this, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time.




 

How long will ILCH process your personal data?

 

ILCH retains your personal data for a limited amount of time and will delete your personal data after it is no longer necessary for the purposes of the processing. For as long as you take classes at ILCH we store and update your information. After termination of the agreement with ILCH, the data will not be kept for longer than 12 months.

 

Access to your personal data

 

ILCH may share your personal data with third parties in the following circumstances:

 

  • ILCH may share your personal data with other third parties acting on our behalf. In such cases, these other third parties may only use your personal data for the purposes described above and only in accordance with our instructions;

  • ILCH employees or (sub)contractors may have access to the personal data. In such a case, access will be granted only if necessary for the purposes described above and only if the employee is bound by an obligation of confidentiality;

  • ILCH may share your personal data if required to do so by law or court order, for example with law enforcement agencies or other governmental agencies.

ILCH keeps your data in a secure environment. We consider your privacy very important and feel responsible for the data you have given us in good faith. Right of access 

 

You are entitled to a copy of the personal information ILCH holds about you and to learn details about how we use it. Your personal data will usually be provided to you digitally.

 

Right to rectification

 

ILCH takes reasonable steps to ensure that the information we hold about you is accurate and complete. However, if you do not believe this is the case, you can ask us to update or amend it.

 

Right to erasure

 

In certain circumstances, you have the right to ask ILCH to erase your personal information, for example where the personal information we collected is no longer necessary for the original purpose or where you withdraw your consent. However, this will need to be balanced against other factors. For example, ILCH may not be able comply with your request due to certain legal or regulatory obligations.

 

Right to restriction of processing

 

In certain circumstances, you are entitled to ask us to (temporarily) stop using your personal information, for example where you think that the personal information ILCH holds about you may be inaccurate or where you think that we no longer need to use your personal information.  

 

Right to data portability

 

In certain circumstances, you have the right to ask that we transfer personal information that you have provided to ILCH to a third party of your choice.

 

Right to object

 

You have the right to object to processing which is based on our legitimate interests. Unless ILCH has a compelling legitimate ground for the processing, we will no longer process the personal data on that basis when you file an objection. Note however, that ILCH may not be able to provide certain services or benefits if we are unable to process the necessary personal data for that purpose.

 

Rights relating to automated decision-making

 

You have the right not to be subjected to automated decision-making, including profiling, which produces legal effect for you or has a similar significant effect. If you have been subject to an automated decision and do not agree with the outcome, you can contact us using the details above and ask us to review the decision. 

 

Right to withdraw consent

 

ILCH may ask for your consent to process your personal data in specific cases. When we do this, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time.

 

To make sure that the request for inspection is made by you, we ask you to send a copy of your ID with the request. In this copy, black out your passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip of numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number and Citizen Service Number (BSN). This is to protect your privacy. We will respond to your request as soon as possible, but within four weeks. ILCH would also like to point out that you have the possibility to file a complaint with the national supervisory authority, the Authority for Personal Data (AP).
